A lick down Lollipop Road
[Memories from Magic World: day 17]

The true story of a little girl's imaginary world.

There is a Lollipop Road
in Magic World
where you can pick lollipops
from the ground
and eat them…
as many as you want!

– lick, lick, lick –

No matter how many you take,
– lick, lick, lick –
a new one always grows in its place,
– lick, lick, lick –
so you can get more,
– lick, lick, lick –
and more,
– lick, lick, lick –
and more.
– lick, lick, lick –

But one day,
– lick, lick, crunch –
a boy found a
COOKIE?
on Lollipop Road.

So the boy
– lick, lick, huh? –
picked up the COOKIE!
– sniff, sniff, crunch –
and ate the COOKIE!
– crunch, crunch, crunch –
and…

The Dreaded Bubblegum Disease
[Memories from Magic World: day 16]

The true story of a little girl's imaginary world.

The Dreaded Bubblegum Disease
is very contagious,
that means
it's easy for you to catch,
so be careful
'cause you don't want it.

If you catch
the Dreaded Bubblegum Disease
you get little pink bubblegum bumps
all over you body…
but don't eat them
like I did,
'cause that makes it worse.

You can die if you don't get rid of
the Dreaded Bubblegum Disease,
because the bubble inside your body
will grow Bigger and BIGGER
until it
and you
POP!

IF YOU DON'T BURP A LOT
YOU WILL EXPLODE!

So burp, burp, burp
until the Dreaded Bubblegum Disease
flies out of your tummy
and into someone else's mouth
or onto the floor
so someone else can step on it,
'cause if it doesn't find a new home
the Dreaded Bubblegum Disease
will come back for seconds.

Have fun,
– Josie

Ice cream people are sweet
[Memories from Magic World: day 15]

The true story of a little girl's imaginary world.

You can't break bones in Magic World
because your body is made of ice cream…
but you can break your popsicle sticks.

You have 11 popsicle sticks,
so if you break 10,
no problem…
but if you break 11,
you die.
Then you become a fish
and swim under the sea.

If you break your popsicle sticks,
you need to avoid sour hospitals,
'cause they can't help.
What you really need
is a sweet doctor
or even sweeter nurse,
'cause only they can fix your popsicle sticks.

Their secret is
cream,
they come over to the Real World
and buy yummy ice cream
to share with you
and repair
your ice cream body.

Have fun,
– Josie

There are no broken hearts in Magic World
[Memories from Magic World: day 13]

The true story of a little girl's imaginary world.

There are no broken hearts
in Magic World,
only melted ones,
because everyone is made of ICE CREAM.

That's why I left Magic World
for the Real World.
I was in trouble,
it was a very hot day.

But even if I didn't turn
into a pool of ooze,
I still would have died
if I stayed in Magic World.

Because the planet
was destroyed
by alien monsters.
Alien monsters called DOOM!

DOOM! looked like purple Jello
with two thousand eyes.

DOOM! wore sunset pink shirts
and blue sky skirts.

DOOM! also posed like little girls
and liked to sing,

"I'm a Barbie Women
in a Magic World.
I'm fantastic
and you are blasted."

Have fun,
– Josie

Watch out for the Dreaded Lollipop Disease
[Memories from Magic World: day 12]

The true story of a little girl's imaginary world.

It's easy to know if you caught
the Dreaded Lollipop Disease,
because you get multi-colored bumps
all over your body.
Bumps which are
sweet if you lick them…
and that's what makes
the Dreaded Lollipop Disease
so uncomfortable,
because when you catch
the Dreaded Lollipop Disease,
kids all over Magic World
chase you
to taste your flavors.

You catch
the Dreaded Lollipop Disease
by eating too many lollipops.
So be careful,
because if you catch
the Dreaded Lollipop Disease
you need to eat
the Even More Dreaded
Lollypop Medicine.

The Even More Dreaded
Lollypop Medicine
is a very dumb,
smart medicine,
because it won't let you
open your mouth
wide enough to eat
more than one lollipop a day
for a whole year.

But don't worry,
tomorrow my year is up.

And I plan to have fun,
– Josie

The best candy is on the Kissing Path
[Memories from Magic World: day 9]

The true story of a little girl's imaginary world.

In Magic World there is a Kissing Path,
and on the Kissing Path there are lots of trees,
lots of trees with more lollipops than YOU can imagine,
lollipops of every shape, size, color, and flavor.

My favorite is Orange-Strawberry-Apple.
It's a green, orange, red lollipop with two heads,
one balloon and one elephant,
with a little baby gorilla, circle house body,
and it's yummy,
but I can't get that lollipop in the real world,
so in the real world, my favorite lollipop flavor is pink.

Have fun,
– Josie
