because we needed a leaf.

	Baby Monster Mom wants a leaf, said Baby Monster Candy Fish.
	Because Baby Monster Dad needs a leaf, said Baby Monster Sun Flower.
	Because Baby Monster Grandpa DEMANDED a leaf.
	Because Baby Monster Grandma asked sweetly for a leaf.
	So Baby Monster Dog can eat it.
	Because that's his food.
	Woof woof.

   I'm sorry there are no more leafs.
   They all have fallen down.
   But maybe later, if you want
   we'll go to the store in town.

   Wonderful Winter is almost here.
   so the leaves have gone away.
   And pretty soon we'll have some snow
   so you can run around and play.

   Real dogs don't eat leaves! Ha-ha

   Real dogs sometimes eat dirt and grass and then they throw it all up. Does baby monster Dog throw it all up again later in the story?

   I hope not.

   Little dog, little dog, come out here and play.
   In the snow, in the sun, chase the ball all day.
   Play with me, I'll be your friend, we can dress the same.
