Bedtime Stories (Storytelling Library: January, 2007)
I think this story will be very short
One day,
Baby Monster Lying King
was out walking in the woods by himself.
That was very bad of him,
and very wrong.
He shouldn't have been doing that!
He didn't follow the rules from the amazing coloring book
by the Alaskan Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G).
But he was out there,
walking alone…
and he saw a bear,
so he got away real, real quick,
'cause though he may lie a lot,
he was not stupid.
The End
No, no, no… tell me more daddy!
One time
I went outside
and looked at the sky
and looked at some cars
that were blue
And then
I saw my friend's car
and I had a bracelet on and a pen with me
and the bracelet was blue
and the pen was blue
and the car, my friend's car, was blue
and we all went to school
The school was blue
everything in our world
was blue
Have fun,
– Josie
Blue: as in Baby Beluga blew her nose under the big blue colored sky… blew her nose all over my blue blew hair… bl-eew.
One time Baby Monster Little Bird broke a cup –
CRASH!
because she was a baby –
CRASH!
and no one was watching her –
CRASH!
and she was having fun –
CRASH!
playing with gravity –
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
So we could only drink from bowls.
Bowls. Bowls. Bowls.
Like the ones you bowl with…
bowling bowls.
Have fun,
– Josie
Broken: Crash… oh, no… when something is broken, it doesn't work or it is damaged… and it's not my fault.
One time,
Baby Monster Mom
had a little baby…
and it was a brother,
because Baby Monster Bubblegum Boy was also a boy,
so they were brothers,
And, they were in the tummy at the same time,
so they played a lot,
but they didn't want to play together so much,
because they weren't good friend.
Have fun,
– Josie
Brothers: when a girl has a little baby, and the girls have the same parents, they're sisters… a brother is when it's boys… that's the whole difference… boys are brothers and girls are sisters.
I'm writing a new children's book about wild animals and wanted to share the art coloring pages I'm using to make it. The book is called Wild Alphabet Stories… fun tails for children and other wild animals.
B is for Bear,
as in,
I barely got out of there
with my life.
What do you think this Florida Black Bear is doing?
I'd love to hear your story.
He lives close to Walt Disney World.
Do you think he has Seasonal Passes?
.
How to make great children's art:
- Print the FREE – Wild Alphabet Stories – Animal Coloring Page (or load it into your favorite painting program).
- Write your story around the wild animal.
- Color your wild animal picture.
- E-mail your new art to sharestories@mybabymonsters.com
- And I'll add it to My Baby Monsters Children's Art Gallery.
Have fun,
– Josie (and dad)

Sung to tune of Old McDonald Had a Farm
One time on a farm
there was a barn
And in the barn there was some cows
Barn, barn, barn
And now sung to tune of BINGO
And the cows said moo moo moo
moo moo moo moo moo moo

Barn are on farms, it's where are the animals are fed and kept… in Danish, bondegÃ¥rd means farm…. just like it sounds.
One time I was at the circus
with Baby Monster Dad
and we saw a Ballerina
on a tightrope
up in the air
And there was a mattress
under the Ballerina
so if she fell
she would just fall on the mattress
and fall to sleep
So she fell

but it hurt when she fell

Ballerina: a person that dances, ballet… not to be confused with a belly dancer, although a ballerina does have a belly, I think.
