Bedtime Stories (Storytelling Library: March, 2007)
I'm writing a new children's book about wild animals and wanted to share the art coloring pages I'm using to make it. The book is called Wild Alphabet Stories… fun tails for children and other wild animals.
E is for Elephant, as in Don't shake up the baby now.
El-e-phant!
Crawl away, Crawl away, Crawl away, baby now.
Get the trunk out!
Ahh… ahh… ahh… Waaaaaah.
This African Elephant is the world's largest Beatles fan. He loves to twist and shout to their rock and roll music, but watch out. He's as heavy as nine cars and 50 gallons (190 liters) of water shoots out of his trunk when he dances. So what happens next? It's your story.

This children's story can be found in the My Baby Monsters Storytelling Library of Kids' Stories & Children's Art, under All of the Fun Animal Stories, The Best Free Coloring Pages. It was written by Josie (Daughter of My Baby Monsters and Child Storyteller) on Friday, March 30th, 2007 at 8:32 am (Josie Time, UTC +2).
"Actually, this is a true story,
a really true story,"
said Lying King.
"I was the original member of The Beatles.
In fact, I was the entire band.
I was the best singer, the best drummer, the best guitar player.
But the other members of the band, John, Paul, and that George,
they got so upset because I was so much better then them at everything.
I made the best music!"
AND THEN
They kicked Lying King out.
They threw him out the door
and then onto the street.
AND THEN
"No way," said Lying King.
"I am The Beatles! You can't kick me out of the band.
I will make all of the music and then I will say
the other Beatles are not the Beatles.
I am The Beatles!"
AND THEN
There was a car coming down the street towards Lying King,
so he ducked down.
AND THEN
"Yeah, yeah, yeah,
and then the car fell asleep on top of me,"
said Lying King.
"And I'm trapped… I'm still trapped on the road…
and that's why you never heard of me,
and why I never got to make any Beatles music."
AND THEN
The car broom-broomed away.
AND THEN
"Until Now…"

"Ow! Ow!" said the Ow-owl,
"I got a cut on my wing.
Ow! Ow! Ow!"
"Here you go, my dear, sweet, Ow-owl,"
said the Mom-owl.
"I have something that will make you feel better.
It's c-called ch-cheetah f-fur."
Then Mom-owl put the ch-cheetah f-fur
on the Ow-owl's wing where it was bleeding
and it made the Ow-owl felt better.
But then the ch-cheetah came to the f-forest
where Ow-owl and Mom-owl sat and said,
"Who took my fur?"
"Who-Whoo?" said Ow-owl.
"St-st-stop!" said Mom-owl,
"Do not Who-Whoo another word,
'cause if you Who-Whoo again,
the ch-cheetah will climb up the tree and eat you.
Ow-owl did not say another word.

The other day I went to my friend's house
and she had a lot of candy,
she was a good friend,
and she was going to share it all with me,
a really good friend,
but then my little sister came over and said,
"Blag ahg beg a boo,"
and while we were trying to figure out what she was trying to say,
she ate all the candy,
and then my friend and I cried, and cried
'cause there was no more candy in the whole world,
but then
my little sister go a tummy ache,
and then
she got sick,
and then
she threw up,
and then
WE WERE HAPPY
because my friend's mommy bought more candy.
Have fun,

The trumpet and drum
had eyes and a mouth,
but no nose.
That made them sad,
so they went to My Baby Monsters
to find a nose.
"Oh I think that would be a nice nose,"
they said while pointing at the dinosaur's nose
on the D is for dinosaurs coloring page.
And then they sang a little song like this,
"Brrooo Brrooo — Boom Boom Boom.
Candy Candy — I like candy.
but no candy today.
Brrooo Brrooo — Boom Boom Boom.
No ones allowed — No candy today.
Because these stores are not open.
Brrooo Brrooo — Boom Boom Boom.
No more candy — It's too dangerous
the candy police came and said.
Have fun,
– Josie
This great story was written by P. R. Ramachander,
a wonderful storyteller from Bangalore, India.
In a hot country like India, rain is a welcome event at any time… even when the child wants to play. In fact Indian children enjoy playing in rain.
| For those who like it wet!
Rain, rain,
come again,
For little Ramu
wants to see,
All round him,
green again.
Children's nursery rhymes
for hot countries, like India.
|
For those who like it dry!
Rain, rain,
go away,
Little Josie
wants to play,
So rain, rain, rain,
get out of here.
